Jared Bernal has a diverse work experience in regulatory engineering and compliance. Jared started their career in 2005 as a Component Engineer at C&D Technologies Inc., where they converted power electronics parts to be compliant with EU regulations and managed component deviations for manufacturing. In 2006, they joined IPC Systems, Inc. as a Regulatory Engineer, Senior Member of Technical Staff, responsible for developing and implementing homologation strategies for new products, maintaining compliance for legacy products, and coordinating with worldwide approvals agencies. Jared also worked as an Environmental Compliance Engineering Consultant, ensuring compliance with EU Directive 2002/95/EC and optimizing component suppliers. In 2015, Jared joined Hart InterCivic as a Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer, where they played a key role in ensuring the compliance of digital voting equipment with stringent hardware and software standards. Jared later transitioned to the role of Principal Regulatory Engineer, taking the lead in certification processes, coordinating technical documentation preparation, and ensuring adherence to numerous certification requirements.

Jared Bernal attended the University of Arizona from 2001 to 2005. Jared pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Management, with a minor in Materials Science & Engineering.
