Michael Pecirno

Michael Pecirno is a skilled design researcher and strategist with extensive experience in sustainable futures and design innovation. Currently serving as the Sustainable Futures Lead at Hassell since July 2023, Michael previously held roles as Design & Research Lead at Takram, where the focus was on futures research and interaction design. Prior experience includes significant positions at Fjord as a Senior Design Researcher & Service Designer, and at Foster + Partners as an Associate Design Strategist. Michael's background also features a role as Architectural Designer at Gensler, where project diversity ranged from built architecture to visual communication, as well as positions at Bruce Mau Live and as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art and a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago.
