Serhat Akkılıç, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Serhat started their career as an Assisting Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble in 1997. Serhat then went on to work at Project House, where they held the positions of CEO and Managing Partner, overseeing the group's creative agency and a medical-marketing agency. In 2015, they became a Local Representative at Havas Sports & Entertainment.
In 2017, Serhat joined Havas as the HAVAS Turkey Creative Group CEO, responsible for the country's various agencies. Serhat also became a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University, teaching courses on Digital Transformation and Communication Design. Additionally, they served as a Start-up Mentor and Trainer at Mentors Network Turkey, supporting entrepreneurial businesses.
Serhat's most recent role is at Havas CX, where they are currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Istanbul branch. In this position, they lead a team dedicated to delivering meaningful customer experiences and spearheads global development projects. Throughout their career, Serhat has consistently focused on creating meaningful connections between people and brands using creativity, media, and innovation.
Serhat Akkılıç, PhD obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1996. Serhat went on to earn an MBA in Marketing from Koç University in 1998. In 2015, Serhat enrolled in Istanbul Bilgi University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Communication in 2020. To further their academic pursuits, they also attended a Doctoral Seminar on Consumption Theory at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark in 2016. In 2011, they participated in the Aresty Institute of Executive Education's Havas University Leadership Excellence Program at The Wharton School.
