Walter Cummings serves as the Director of Line Maintenance for North America at Hawaiian Airlines since April 2022, overseeing safety management systems within maintenance and engineering. Prior to joining Hawaiian Airlines, Cummings held multiple roles in the US Army from June 2009 to April 2022, including Command Inspector General, where management of a team of eight inspectors was pivotal in supporting a large regional health command. Cummings also contributed as a Professor of Military Science, recruiting and training future U.S. military leaders, and coordinated health engagements for the United States Army Pacific. Cummings' educational background includes a Master's degree in Military and Strategic Leadership from The United States Army War College, a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville, a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Troy University, and a Bachelor's degree in Earth Science from Lamar University.
