Albert Martienssen has a diverse work experience ranging from roles in investment banking, consulting, and proprietary trading. Albert most recently served as an Investment Director and Head of Research at Hayfin Capital Management LLP since September 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Associate from July 2014 to September 2017. Albert also had a summer associate role at Goldman Sachs in 2013. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Albert was an Associate at The Boston Consulting Group from September 2009 to July 2012. Albert had internships at Polarwide Ltd as an Analyst Intern in 2008 and at DZ Bank as an Intern in Proprietary Trading in 2007. Albert also interned as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in 2008.
Albert Martienssen began their education in 2006 at HKUST Business School, where they pursued a BSc in Quantitative Finance. Albert successfully completed their degree in 2009. In 2008, Albert had the opportunity to study as an exchange student at The Wharton School, focusing on Business (Finance) for a brief period. Later on, from 2012 to 2014, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree.
