Katy Sturgess has extensive experience in the recruitment sector, particularly in Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance, with a career spanning over 37 years at Hays Audit, Risk & Compliance. Currently serving as Senior Business Director, Katy leads a team responsible for sourcing qualified professionals across various roles within Corporate Governance, including IT Audit and Data Protection. Katy's expertise encompasses both permanent and interim recruitment, with a focus on serving the needs of diverse industries, including public and third sectors. Prior to Hays, Katy began a career in accounting as a Trainee Accountant at Beecham Group PLC. Katy holds a BSc Hons in Zoology from the University of Leeds.
