Claire Hou is a Pricing Actuary at HCF Australia since January 2023, bringing extensive experience in the actuarial field. Prior to this position, Claire served as a Senior Actuarial Consultant and Actuarial Consultant at EY from December 2020 to January 2023, specializing in General Insurance. Claire also completed a role as an Actuarial Vacationer at EY in late 2019. In academia, Claire contributed as a Meta-Analysis Research Assistant at UNSW Business School from November 2017 to January 2020, focusing on ethical decision-making studies. Additionally, Claire gained practical experience through a Life Insurance Pricing Actuarial Co-op at AIA Australia in 2018, where responsibilities included profit testing and loss ratio analysis. Claire started a career in education as a High School Tutor at Pre-Uni New College from May 2016 to July 2017. Claire holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNSW, completed in 2020.
