Dora Kamau is a dedicated mindfulness and well-being instructor with extensive experience in mental health support and community engagement. Currently serving as a Mindfulness Instructor at UCLA in collaboration with the UC Center for Climate, Health and Equity, Dora guides mindfulness practices while promoting climate resilience and community empowerment. Roles include teaching mindfulness meditation at Black Being, directing wellness initiatives for Girl Gang Crazy, and contributing as a faculty member at The Lab of Meditation. Previously, Dora worked with Headspace as a mindfulness meditation teacher and held various nursing positions, including Non-practicing Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the Provincial Health Services Authority and Registered Psychiatric Nurse at Providence Health Care. Dora holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Douglas College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.
