Andrew McLaughlin has a diverse work experience in the technology sector. Andrew started their career as an Underwriter II at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts in 2011 and worked there until 2015. Andrew then joined Valetude LLC as a Software Developer, where they developed and maintained web applications for a large hospital chain using .NET and Rails backends. In 2018, Andrew joined Wayfair as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on building product recommendation algorithms and interactive user experiences using PHP backend and React frontend. Andrew also worked on machine learning models and offline processing using Python. In 2021, Andrew became a Technical Lead at SmarterTravel, where they contributed as a software engineer until 2022. Currently, Andrew is a Senior Software Engineer at the Health Data Analytics Institute.
Andrew McLaughlin completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience with a cognitive science concentration at Oberlin College from 2007 to 2011. Andrew further pursued their education at Oregon State University from 2013 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, although they did not complete the program.
