Rebecca Wright serves as the Head of Investment Data and Digital at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand since June 2021, leading a substantial portfolio investment function focused on enhancing health outcomes through data and efficient information systems. Additionally, Rebecca has been a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand since June 2017 and acted as Chief Financial Officer for Te Whatu Ora - Northern Region from July 2022 to September 2023. Prior roles include Executive Manager – Investment, Growth & Intelligence at Rotorua Economic Development and Director positions at Deloitte Private New Zealand and Deloitte New Zealand. Rebecca's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Auckland University of Technology.

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system. Functions are delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. These include: - hospital and specialist services - the National Public Health Service - clinical governance - primary and community care. We also work to improve services and health outcomes. We do this in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora - Māori Health Authority. We have united the former 20 District Health Boards, shared services agencies and Te Hiringa Hauora (Health Promotion Agency).
