Leanne Lazarus has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Leanne is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Heartland Bank LTD, where they are responsible for setting the strategic direction and cultural framework of the company. Prior to this role, Leanne held various positions at Westpac New Zealand, including Chief Executive Officer of Westpac Life Limited and Executive Director. Leanne also served as the General Manager of Customer Outcomes and General Manager of Operations & Contact Centres, Property Services & Procurement. Before joining Westpac, Leanne worked at ANZ, where they held the positions of Head of Business Execution Global Technology Services and Operations, Australia, Managing Director of ANZ Operations and Technology Pvt. Ltd. and ANZ Support Services India Pvt. Ltd., and General Manager of Banking Operations and Contact Centre in New Zealand. Leanne began their career at The National Bank of New Zealand and later transitioned to Nedbank in South Africa, where they held leadership and specialist roles.

Leanne Lazarus has pursued various education programs and courses in their professional journey. Leanne completed the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at INSEAD. Leanne also undertook the Company Directors Course (CDC) from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand and specialized in Subsidiary Boards at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Leanne Lazarus further expanded their knowledge by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Australian Institute of Business. Additionally, they gained expertise in Digital Transformation & Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management, completed the Darden Executive Programme at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and attended Executive Leadership Programmes at Duke University. Leanne Lazarus also undertook training in Process Re-engineering with Lean Six Sigma.
