Kar Lau has a diverse work experience with a focus on the IT industry. Kar started their career as a Barista at Starbucks where they gained customer service skills. Kar then transitioned to TokoIT where they worked as an Associate System Engineer, providing support to medical practices and designing network environments. After that, they joined Ncic Consulting Group Inc as a Field Support Engineer, specializing in Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 management. Currently, Kar Lau is working at HeartShare Human Services of New York, where they have held roles as a Junior System Administrator, Information Technology Manager, and currently as the Director of IT.
Kar Lau holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Education from The City College of New York, obtained in 2010. In addition, Kar has acquired multiple certifications including CompTIA A+ ce in 2016, CompTIA Net+ in 2017, CCNA in 2018, CompTIA Security+ in 2019, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals in 2020, and is currently pursuing a certification in Google Data Analytics from Coursera, to be obtained in 2023.
