Michelle Roman is an experienced non-profit leader currently serving as the Chief Development Officer at HeartShare Human Services of New York since September 2024. Previously, Michelle held the position of Senior Director of Development at the Center for Employment Opportunities and Director of Private Partnerships at the Center for Justice Innovation, where responsibilities included strategy development for private giving and donor communications. Michelle's earlier roles include Director of Private Sector Engagement at ECPAT-USA, where engagement strategies focused on eradicating child exploitation, and interim Secretariat for The Code, which involved providing technical guidance to industry representatives. Prior experience in office management and financial oversight includes working at Park Construction and supporting the Student Association at the University at Albany. Michelle holds a Masters in Social Work with a focus on Social Policy and International Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Psychology from the University at Albany.
