Ahmed Al-Hammadi is Head of the Active Investments department for the Qatar Investment Authority. He oversees QIA’s direct sector teams as well as funds investments in the Equity, Fixed Income, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Real Estate asset classes. Prior to joining QIA, Ahmed worked at EFG-Hermes as a regional asset manager, and before that at consulting firm Booz & Co. advising financial services clients on strategy, private equity investment opportunities, and organization structures. Ahmed is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has obtained his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
