Pedro Carvalheiro

Pedro Carvalheiro is currently the Head of Capital Markets at HeavyFinance, overseeing relationships with institutional investors since January 2023. Previously, Pedro served as Country Manager for Portugal, where local operations were restructured to enhance loan origination and recovery processes. As Head of Investments and Country Head for Portugal at CrossLend from October 2021 to December 2022, leadership was provided for a new Alternative Investment Fund focused on European Fintech-originated private debt. Between February 2016 and September 2021, Pedro was the Head of Capital Markets, Investments & Treasury Department at BNI Europa, managing investment portfolios and coordinating risk-related policies. Early career roles include Trader at the Portuguese Treasury and Debt Management Agency and FX Proprietary Trader at NOVO BANCO. Pedro holds a Master's degree in Banking and Financial Risk from Universidad de Alcalá and completed a course in Fixed Income Profiles and Strategies at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.
