Pierre-Carl Michaud is a prominent academic and researcher in the field of economics, currently serving as the Holder of the Jacques-Parizeau Research Chair in Economic Policy, Scientific Director of the Retirement and Savings Institute, and Professor at HEC Montréal since May 2016. Additional roles include Vice-President of Strategy and Government Relations at CIRANO, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and an International Fellow at NETSPAR. With a rich background in public policy as a Vice President at CIRANO and a Commissioner for the Commission d'examen sur la fiscalité québécoise, Pierre-Carl Michaud also holds research fellowships with IZA and has previous experience as an Adjunct Economist at RAND. Pierre-Carl Michaud earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from Tilburg University between 2001 and 2005.
