Christian Sassmann currently serves as the Head of Strategy, Innovation & Transformation Management Office (TMO) at Suntory Global Spirits, overseeing the company's digital transformation efforts to enhance EBIT and digital capabilities. Since July 2021, Christian has also held the position of Head of Global Digital Transformation & Ventures at Suntory Holdings Limited, driving global growth through transformation and innovation initiatives. Additionally, Christian serves as Senior General Manager of the DX Division at Transparent and is a seed investor in multiple ventures including AKT London and Hedgehog. Previous roles include eSales Director for EMEA & South America at Suntory Global Spirits and various marketing and management positions at Nestlé, Beam Suntory, and other firms. Christian's educational background includes a Master's degree in Business Administration from INSEEC Grande Ecole and a Bachelor of Science in International Wine Business from Hochschule Geisenheim University, complemented by ongoing studies in Investment Management at the University of Geneva.

Hedgehog helps people gain financial exposure to commercial real estate and renewable assets. Hedgehog has a simple mission: to make it possible for eligible individual investors to access some of the benefits of investing in real-world assets. Via its investment funds, Hedgehog gives eligible individual investors exposure to real-world assets,such as real estate and infrastructure, of a size and quality that would otherwise be out of reach. Blockchain technology makes this possible. Hedgehog will be using ‘tokenisation’ technology, underpinned by blockchain-based smart contracts, to offer digital tokens that are backed by income generated, directly or indirectly, by real-world assets. The technology helps Hedgehog remove barriers to entry and lets eligible individuals shape their own portfolio composition. Technology helps Hedgehog make it more accessible and efficient for people to invest through its digital and automatic investment process. Hedgehog envisages an exciting future, and tokenisation is the first step in giving investors access to liquidity, which would otherwise not have been available for these asset classes. Hedgehog has already secured investment opportunities in more than £1.15bn of real assets, including warehouses, content studios, renewable energy infrastructure and more.
