Joel Campbell has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to the present. Joel started their career as an Environmental Consultant at XCG Consultants Ltd. in 2001 before moving on to Ivaco Rolling Mills as a Consultant Environmental Manager in 2009. In 2005, they joined Golder as an Environmental Engineer and later became an Associate Environmental Engineer in 2014. Their most recent role was as the Director of Environment, Health, and Safety for the metals processing group of The Heico Companies LLC in Canada, starting in 2018. In this position, they were responsible for EHS performance, sustainability, continuous improvement, and corporate program development across multiple manufacturing sites and warehousing operations. Joel also led the launch of the corporate sustainability program.
Joel Campbell attended Acadia University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned an Engineering Diploma in Engineering and Biology. Joel then went on to Dalhousie University from 1999 to 2001, receiving a B.Eng. in Environmental Engineering.

Heico Companies is a Chicago holding company that buys under-performing or bankrupt companies to turning them around. It holds interests in businesses in a variety of industries including aerospace, steel wire products, pre-engineered metal buildings, heavy equipment, telecommunications, plastics, food production, commercial construction and material handling equipment. Michael Heisley started Heico in 1979 with one small manufacturing company. Heisley also owns a majority stake in the NBA Memphis Grizzlies.
