Heinzelpaper is a leading company in the Austrian paper industry. The history of paper production in Laakirchen goes back to the middle of the 19th century. Founded in 1867 and 1868, the paper mills in Laakirchen and Steyrermühl have developed from a small papermaker on the Traun river to an internationally successful paper producer and an important employer in the region. The Steyrermühl sawmill has been in existence for over 30 years and supplies customers in Europe, Asia and North Africa with sawn timber. In Laakirchen, we produce publication paper for magazines, newspaper supplements, catalogs and advertising materials as well as high-quality and environmentally friendly corrugated base paper for stable packaging solutions - all in a sustainable and resource-saving manner. In Steyrermühl, we produce sawn timber products in our sawmill and, from mid-2024, high-quality kraft paper for bags and shoppers. Our daily focus is on the highest product quality, perfect runability and personal service for our customers. We actively contribute to creating a circular economy by protecting valuable resources and making recycling an integral part of our business.
