Rick Van Etten is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in oncology and hematology. As the Chief Medical Advisor at Helio Health since July 2018, Rick has leveraged expertise gained during tenure as Director of the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UC Irvine since October 2013 and as Director of Tufts Cancer Center and Chief of the Hematology/Oncology Division at Tufts Medical Center from 2003 to 2013. Rick holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
