Jantien Shizuru

Jantien Shizuru is a seasoned project development manager currently employed at Heliogen since July 2022, overseeing activities related to concentrated solar power project development, including site selection, transmission analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Prior roles at Heliogen included manager of project permitting and environmental compliance, serving as the primary contact for regulatory agencies. Jantien also worked at The Boring Company from August 2018 to June 2022 as an operations manager responsible for the Vegas Loop transportation system and as an environmental engineer supporting project development and permitting efforts. Additional experience includes serving as an investment analyst at Kamehameha Schools, managing a significant endowment focused on Native Hawaiian education, and various positions in tutoring and engineering internships. Jantien Shizuru holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Princeton University and graduated from Kamehameha High School.
