Dave Simpson

Dave Simpson is an experienced drilling professional with a diverse background in various roles, including Drilling Superintendent and Senior Manager Drilling Solutions at Helmerich & Payne since April 2021. Previously, Dave held positions at H&P Technologies as a Remote Operations Manager, and at Motive Drilling Technologies as a Remote Ops Manager. With extensive experience in directional drilling, including roles at Simpson's Drilling Consultants LTD., DV8 Technologies, and Phoenix Technologies, Dave has worked in multiple significant fields, including Bakken, Barnett, Marcellus, and Jonah, along with Rocky Mountain and Canadian foothill projects. Proficient in the WinSURV program and recognized for excellent communication and teamwork skills, Dave's career spans over three decades, starting with drilling operations and advancing to managerial roles, supported by education from Red Deer Polytechnic and Red Deer College.
