Karen Bao (Rong Bo)

Karen (Rong Bo) Bao is a skilled sample maker with over two decades of experience in the fashion industry. Currently at HELMUT LANG since March 2020, Karen previously worked at Ralph Lauren as a sample and pattern maker, where responsibilities included draping from sketches and creating initial patterns for dresses. Prior experience includes a role at Jones New York as a sample maker, overseeing collaboration with patternmakers and designers to ensure accurate interpretation of design concepts, and providing expert advice on construction methods. Additionally, Karen has worked at Mirra Couture Inc. as a production sample maker, specializing in fashion and sportswear, including jackets and blazers. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, education was completed between 2014 and 2015.
