Kimberly Lassiter is an experienced educator currently serving as the Founding Kindergarten Teacher at Henderson Collegiate since July 2016. Prior to this role, Kimberly worked as a K/1 Student Teacher at Club Blvd Magnet Elementary School, where engagement in monthly professional development and weekly MTSS meetings occurred, leading to the design of differentiated lesson plans through formative assessments. Earlier experience includes serving as a Resident Advisor at UNC Housing, focusing on enhancing student experiences and developing skills in problem-solving, communication, and event planning. Open to all students in North Carolina, Henderson Collegiate is committed to providing an exceptional education to students who are historically under-served in our community. Henderson Collegiate opened in the summer of 2010 with a 4th grade class of 100 students.
