Henry Street Settlement
Rachel Hughes has extensive experience in social work and community support spanning over a decade. Currently serving as the Social Work Development Liaison at Henry since October 2011, Rachel facilitates support and opportunities for social workers and mental health professionals. Previous roles include Program Director of the Senior Companion Program, where Rachel managed initiatives to help older adults live independently, and as a Social Worker for Meals on Wheels at NYU Langone Medical Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work in Geriatric Mental Health from NYU Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology from Denison University, supplemented by studies at the University of Amsterdam.
