Derlen Chiu

Derlen Chiu is an experienced product leader with a strong background in fintech and technology. Currently serving as the Head of Product at Herald since September 2024, Derlen previously held positions as VP of Product and Senior Director of Product Management at April from January 2022 to September 2024. Derlen's expertise includes roles as Senior Product Manager at both Axoni and Plaid, and Vice President of Data Product at Quovo, which was acquired by Plaid in 2019. Earlier career experiences include serving as Director of Platform at FinTech Collective, Fall Associate at Bowery Capital, Business Development Intern at NYU-Poly Incubator, Operations Manager at NYSE, and Co-Founder of SportRocker. Derlen holds an MBA in Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Economics from Case Western Reserve University.
