Kenny Smith is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing innovative software solutions. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at HERE Technologies since August 2010, Kenny leads the architecture of a web-based interactive 3D building editor and multiple front-end tools for extracting 3D map features. Previously, as a Lead Software Engineer, Kenny was the lead inventor of US Patent 10,955,256 and contributed significantly to HERE's core 3D map editor. In addition to their tenure at HERE, Kenny founded The App Orchard and developed iPhone applications, served as a Sr. Software Engineer at Write Brothers where Kenny architected the next generation of Movie Magic Screenwriter, and has held engineering roles at MusculoGraphics, Electric Image, and Screenplay Systems. Kenny holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
