Dimitris N. Sarantopoulos is the Head of Natural Gas Business Unit at HERON, overseeing various aspects of gas sales and commercial operations. Dimitris N. is also responsible for leading the Maintenance Department at HERON I & II Thermal Power Plants. In addition, Dimitris N. serves as a Director and Board Member for Thermoilektriki Komotinis and EuroAsia Interconnector. Dimitris is actively involved in various energy organizations such as the Hellenic Association For Energy Economics and the Greek Energy Forum. Dimitris N. is also known for founding and chairing the Energy & Sustainability Club at Athens University of Economics and Business. With a background in engineering and economics, Dimitris has extensive experience in the energy sector and a proven track record of successful project management and strategic leadership.

HERON is active in the generation, supply and trading of Electricity, as well as in the supply and trading of Natural Gas in Greece. Having started its operations in 2000, it is now supported by the GEK TERNA Group, the leader in Energy Production from conventional and renewable (RES) sources in Greece, who also founded HERON.
