Mithara Gunapala

Mithara Gunapala is an experienced professional with a robust background in mental health support and advocacy. Currently serving as an Outreach Advocate for the Modern Slavery Response Team at Hestia Charity, Mithara provides proactive support to victims of modern slavery, addressing trauma-related challenges. Previous experience as a Crisis and Recovery Support Worker at Creative Support involved delivering person-centered care and facilitating service users' independence. Early career roles included customer engagement as a Brand Representative and stock management as a Stock Associate at Hollister Co., alongside significant clinical experience gained through work placements at the Bedford Hospital NHS Trust. Mithara holds a Master of Research (MRes) in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Psychology from the University of Liverpool.
