The National Maritime Museum: How the Dutch explore the world

The National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam has the second-largest maritime collection in the world. The museum has an active policy of increasing the knowledge of this heritage and handing it down to the next generation of experts.

Come aboard the replica ship the Dutch East Indiaman the Amsterdam or step into the Voyage at Sea and experience the sailor's life. For all walks of life there is something special to experience in the museum.  

The museum is located in an old Arsenal (1656), the former storehouse of the Royal Dutch Navy. It is also an outstanding location for all types of events ranging from business meetings to weddings. The museum is easily accessible by public transport, car and by boat with mooring possibilities on our own jetty.
