Hiber
John Segerstedt has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. In 2022, they joined Hiber as a Development Team Lead, where they oversee the Commerce Team and is also the Team Lead of the Game Guild. Additionally, they work as a developer on an in-house C++ engine, focusing on UI/UX and gameplay. Prior to this, they worked at Ericsson in 2021 as a Software Developer, specializing in C++ development for Packet Core - Control Plane. Here, they focused on maintaining high-quality code, testing, and managing continuous integration. In 2019, they worked as an Independent Game Developer on a contract basis for Game Mechanic Studios. Their main task was to port their game, 3Buttons, to their Android-based platform. Unfortunately, the platform was canceled due to COVID-19. Finally, in 2021, they held a Master Thesis position at Avalanche Studios Group, where they worked on the topic of neural network generated character animation. John Segerstedt attended Chalmers University of Technology from 2016 to 2021, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Software Engineering. In June 2016, they also obtained a Grade A (C2 level) in the Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment.

Hiber has created a gaming and entertainment platform where people can play and create on their mobile devices and PCs. Hiber was founded in 2017 and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden and operates Hiber social Apps (Hiber), and a web-based entertainment platform, HiberWorld.The team originally created HiberWorld as a place for people to createtheir own 3D interactive experiences and share them with others, without the need to code. Initially, everything was browser-based and in 2019 the company reached a major milestone when it released touch creation mode, bringing the experience of making and sharing UGC creations to mobile devices with touch screens.Since then, More than 1 Million experiences have been created including virtual worlds, 3D hangouts, games, playgrounds, speed-run challenges, interactive science museums, roller coasters, pixel art showcases, and more.As the company has added more social features, it has seen explosive growth amongst mobile users. At its root, Hiber is giving people a new language with which to communicate using interactive 3D elements, without the need to code, so anyone can tell their story or deliver their message to the world.
