Bryan Pollard is an experienced consultant with nearly 20 years in communications strategies focused on Indigenous communities. Currently a Consultant at Rattlinggourd Consulting since April 2020, Bryan also serves as Grant Operations Manager for The Associated Press and Board Member for High Country News. In October 2023, Bryan participated as a Plenary Speaker at the National Association of Science Writers annual conference and served as a GIJN Indigenous Fellow in September 2023. Previous roles include Associate Director at the Native American Journalists Association, where Bryan directed the Red Press Initiative and produced NAJA Roundtables, and a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Arkansas and multiple training programs emphasizing leadership and management in the context of media and journalism.
