Katey Comerford

Katey Comerford is an experienced leader in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as Executive Director at Higher Achievement since December 2019. Prior to this role, Comerford held the position of Executive Director at Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia from April 2014 to December 2019. A proven track record in leadership is evident from previous roles at Jumpstart, where responsibilities ranged from Executive Director of Jumpstart DC to Senior Director of National Field Support. Earlier in the career, Comerford held various positions at The Attic Youth Center, Bell Multicultural High School, and Community IMPACT!. Comerford holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on Policy and Program Development from Temple University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Kent State University.
