Randy Willy

VP for Finance & Operations at Highland Community College

Randy Willy joined the College in May 2017 as the Vice President for Finance and Operations. He previously served as the Vice President of Finance for Vancouver Career Colleges, which is the largest career college provider in Canada with thirty seven locations throughout the country. He has worked in higher education for over twenty years and has held senior financial leadership positions with Ellis University, Grantham University, and Concorde Career Colleges.

Randy is a native of Bay City, Michigan. After graduating from Bay City Central High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for four years. For the majority of his enlistment, he was stationed in Yuma, Arizona and attended his first community college class at Arizona Western State College. He went on to earn his associate’s degree from College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California, his bachelor’s degree from Missouri Western State University, and his MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Highland Community College

The first college in Kansas began as Highland University in 1858. Approximately 2,700 students are enrolled on the main campus or at their 33 regional locations in nine county service area. HCC offers Associate degrees in 50 concentration areas and has 15 programs that are technical education degrees. The main campus is located in Highland, KS with regional locations in Baileyville, Holton, Perry, Wamego, and a technical center in Atchison.
