Senior Analytical Scientist at Hilleman Laboratories

Evonne Ip has a strong background in scientific research and analysis. Evonne began their career in 2013 as a Research Assistant at A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research. During this time, they gained experience in optimizing techniques for studying protein synthesis and analyzing genomic datasets. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of a PHD Graduate Student, further refining their skills in ribosome profiling and mitochondria isolation techniques. Evonne successfully completed their PHD in 2020.

Following their academic pursuits, Evonne went on to work at Carmine Therapeutics in 2020 as a Research Scientist, where they designed and optimized various assays and analyzed data using appropriate programs. Evonne later advanced to the role of Senior Research Scientist, where they continued to contribute to assay development and data interpretation until December 2022.

Most recently, starting in December 2022, Evonne joined the team at Hilleman Laboratories as an Analytical Scientist. Evonne'sresponsibilities include developing and applying analytical methods for biologics such as recombinant proteins and vaccines. Evonne conducts experimental procedures to establish and optimize analytical methods for in-process control samples and product release. Additionally, they participate in technology transfer and assay qualification and validation activities.

Evonne Ip pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Later on, they pursued their passion for Cell and Molecular Biology by enrolling in the National University of Singapore to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree, which they successfully completed from 2015 to 2020.
