Courtney Chapel has a strong background in the art and auction industry. Courtney is currently the Director of Communications at Hindman Auctions, starting in March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Phillips, where they held the role of International Proposals Manager from March 2019 to September 2021, and Proposals Writer, Business Development from October 2017 to February 2019. Before joining Phillips, they worked at Paddle8 as an Auctions and Valuations Manager from December 2016 to September 2017, Valuations Manager from October 2014 to November 2016, and Auction Sales Administrator from January 2013 to September 2014. Earlier in their career, they gained experience through various internships, including roles at Hood Museum of Art - Dartmouth College as a Senior Special Projects Intern from October 2010 to June 2011, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers as a Fine Art Intern from June 2010 to August 2010, The Art Institute of Chicago as an American Art Intern from June 2010 to August 2010, and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston as an Art of the Americas Undergraduate Intern from September 2009 to December 2009.

Courtney Chapel attended Dartmouth College from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art History and Classical Archaeology. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art from 2011 to 2013. In 2015 to 2017, Courtney Chapel attended NYU School of Professional Studies, obtaining a Certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts.
