Kevin Vandeman, AIA, is a Vice President and Commercial/Mixed Use Studio Design Leader at HKS, Inc., where involvement includes roles such as Senior Designer across multiple practices and participation in advisory and leadership committees. In addition to establishing a sole practice as an Architect since 2015, Kevin previously held positions that included Architect and Senior Project Designer at EwingCole and Staff Architect at the University of Maryland. Notably, Kevin served as a Student Team Leader for the Watershed project at the University of Maryland, which won the 2011 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Architecture and a Master’s in Real Estate Development, both obtained from the University of Maryland, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Metal Sculpture from the same institution.
