Prior to this, Bjarne spent 18 years at Aker Solutions, ascending through various roles from Project Manager to Department Manager. Bjarne began a career in technology as a Control System Engineer at Sporveien Oslo AS. Educationally, Bjarne holds a Master of Science in Teknisk Kybernetikk from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), obtained from 1987 to 1993.

The merger of Baker Hughes’ Subsea Drilling Systems business and Akastor ASA’s wholly-owned subsidiary, MHWirth AS, has been completed to form a global offshore drilling equipment company.
