Buddhika Jayawardena has extensive experience in financial planning and marketing, currently serving as a Financial Planning Consultant, Financial Services Consultant, and former Marketing Executive at HNB Assurance PLC since June 2017. In September 2021, Buddhika took on the role of Head of Fundraising at the Leo Lions Club of Colombo Golden Minds. Previous marketing experience includes a position at Siyasa TV from June to December 2016. Academically, Buddhika holds a Diploma in Brand Management from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (2016-2017), and a Diploma in Presenting Dubbing from Voice of Sri Lanka (2016-Present), along with education from Sri Sumangala College (2011-2013). HNB Assurance PLC is a public limited liability company incorporated in Sri Lanka on 23rd August 2001 under the Companies Act, No 17 of 1982. The Company which was known as HNB Assurance Ltd., changed its name to HNB Assurance PLC during the year 2007 as required by the Companies Act, No 7 of 2007. The Stated Capital of the Company is Rupees three hundred and seventy five million consisting of thirty seven million five hundred thousand ordinary shares. HNB Assurance is a subsidiary of Hatton National Bank, and 59.99% of the share capital of the Company is held by the Bank, a leading commercial bank in the private sector. The Company is registered under the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act No. 43 of 2000 and it has obtained license from the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka to undertake both Life and General Insurance business.
