Silvia Díez Valdés

Senior Clinical Applications Manager at Hocoma

Silvia D. is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in academia and the arts. Currently serving as a Lecturer at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen since May 2019, Silvia teaches courses such as ‘DH: Software and Data as Culture’ and is a PhD Candidate focused on a Digital Humanities project. Previous roles include CED at Flapper Management, where Silvia navigated challenges and learned from industry experiences, and a Data Analyst internship where notable work was done on Spotify data. Silvia has also contributed to various initiatives, such as writing for Stichting SintJan/Coöperatie Klooster&Buren, directing a radio program at Glasnost, and managing communications for numerous projects. Silvia holds a Master's degree in Digital Humanities and a Bachelor's in General Literature from the University of Groningen, complemented by early education in Fine Arts and Spanish language and culture.
