Ryan Oliva

Ryan Oliva is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in product development and systems engineering, currently serving as Director of Product Development at Hologic, Inc. since April 2006. In this role, Ryan leads the Systems Engineering group responsible for developing and sustaining complex automated laboratory instruments, particularly for cervical cancer screening. Prior to Hologic, Ryan held various positions at Draper Laboratory, including Senior Manager and Principal Mechanical Engineer, where work focused on designing a snake robot for DARPA. Additionally, Ryan contributed to the development of the TALON robotic bomb disposal platform at Foster-Miller as a Staff Engineer. Ryan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
