Nia A. Velez

Nia A. Velez, CPA, is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in tax and finance. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Accountant at HCVT since July 2019, Velez has also held positions as a Tax Advanced Staff Accountant and Tax Staff Accountant within the same firm. Prior experience includes serving as Finance Director for the Associated Students of California Lutheran University and completing internships at HCVT and CBIZ MHM, LLC. Velez began a career in accounting at California Lutheran University, where responsibilities included managing club budgets and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Prior roles included data management as a Web Content Data Entry Assistant for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation and providing photography services at Freeze Frame Photography. Velez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California Lutheran University, completed in 2019.
