John Cridland

John is the Chairman of Home Group’s Board alongside his role as Chairman of Transport for the North, the strategic transport authority working to improve connectivity across the North of England.

Calling on a wide range of experience, among various roles John is Chairman of University College London’s Green Innovation Policy Commission and Director of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.

John was also formerly the Director-General of the CBI and is a Founding Commissioner of the Low Pay Commission, which established the National Minimum Wage. He was also on the ACAS Council, Vice Chairman of the Learning and Skills Council and was awarded a CBE in 2006 for his services to business.
