Rachel Peace

Rachel Peace is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development, specializing in Python, Django, Postgres, and AWS. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Homeward since April 2021, Rachel has led multiple projects enhancing customer and real estate agent dashboards for a home finance platform. Prior experience includes roles at The University of Texas at Austin, where skills in maintaining both modern and legacy applications were developed, and an immersive web development program at Dev Bootcamp. Rachel's career began in education, working as a fifth-grade teacher in Title I schools, which cultivated strong organizational and communication skills. Rachel holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from the University of North Texas.
