Receiving Clerk

As a dispatcher, you’ll monitor all loads under dispatch authority to provide safe and on-time service to our customers, vendors, and distribution centers. You’ll build relationships with our truck drivers, supporting them with information and directions for when they’re out on the road. The products we distribute are all temperature-controlled; monitoring the temperature of all loads under dispatch is very important.

You’ll be Responsible for:

• Acting as the primary contact for our truck drivers. You’ll check them in and out and respond promptly to any questions and support they may need.
• Maintaining driver, load, and service information in our transportation management system.
• Preparing daily dispatch schedule and adjust delivery and backhaul assignments as needed.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• In our office environment, you’ll need to be able to sit on an almost continual basis and stand, walk, bend, or squat on an occasional basis.
• To be successful as a dispatcher, you’ll need to have the ability to read conventional and electronic mapping and be proficient in computer usage.
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to speak, read, and understand English
• Transportation Management System experience is preferred
