Mark Ratner

Mark Ratner possesses extensive experience in privacy and legal counsel, currently serving as the Privacy Officer and Senior Legal Counsel at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) since April 2019. Previously, Mark held the position of Ombudsperson, Privacy and Ethics Officer at the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network from June 2017 to April 2019, where Mark led organizational efforts in dispute resolution and privacy governance. Prior roles include similar positions at the Mississauga Halton Community Care Access Centre and significant experience at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario as a Mediator and Investigator. Mark's academic background includes an LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, along with a B.A. from McGill University.
