Todd Achterhof, PEM, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency management and public safety. Currently serving as a Full-Time Campus Safety Dispatcher at Hope College since September 2017, duties include handling emergency calls and collaborating with local law enforcement. Todd's background includes a long tenure as a Fire Captain at Graafschap Fire Department, where responsibilities involved supervising firefighting operations and emergency medical responses. Additional roles include a Level 2 System Status Controller at Life EMS Ambulance and a Victim Advocate with the Allegan County Sheriff. Todd's educational credentials encompass a Professional Emergency Manager degree from EMDHS and EMT-B training from Great Lakes EMS Academy, along with a background in electrical installation from Grand Rapids Community College.
