Christopher Barkas

Christopher Barkas is a seasoned professional in the engineering and maintenance sector, currently serving as a Senior Test Technician and Emissions Test Technician at HORIBA MIRA since February 2018. Prior to this role, Christopher was the Engineering and Maintenance Manager at Alpha Manufacturing (Hixon) Limited from July 2016, where significant projects included the procurement and installation of advanced sheet metal fabrication machines. With a robust background at ENGIE from September 2004 to July 2016 as an Electrical Engineering Technician, Christopher contributed to minimizing downtime and costs at Rugeley Power Station while performing maintenance and emergency repairs. Christopher also completed an advanced modern apprenticeship at International Power, which included a BTEC national diploma and NVQ Level 3 in engineering maintenance. Educational achievements include a BTEC National Diploma and HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Burton and South Derbyshire College.
