HORYZN
Kilian Ginnell is a System Engineer at Auterion since November 2023 and previously held various roles at HORYZN, including Advisor for Software, Avionics & Flight Testing, where contributions included developing flight control software and conducting prototype flights for automated flight testing. Kilian's experience also encompasses positions as a Student Research Assistant at the Technical University of Munich in different chairs, a Vehicle Build Engineer for Autonomous Driving at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, and multiple internships in engineering roles at Daimler AG and Siemens. Kilian holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, Kilian is pursuing an altMBA, part of the 41 - Tofu Cohort.

HORYZN
HORYZN is a student initiative consisting of 58 Bachelor, Master and PhD students of the TU Munich. The team is conceptualizing, designing and building eVTOL (electrical Vertical Take-Off and Landing) UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) for real-life use cases. The student initiative has also become part of the NEXT Prototypes e.V. HORYZN is particularly proud of the internationality of the team - over 20 countries are represented. ππ π’π§ππ©ππ§ππ’π‘ HORYZN mainly wants to solve real-life problems with good purpose by applying theoretical knowledge gained in university. Besides that, the initiative strives for an increased social and political acceptance of UAVs. β πππ¦π§ πππ§ππ©ππ§πππ¦ In July 2024, we finished our latest project: Our UAV KOLIBRI, developed for delivering life-saving defibrillators, successfully took off after 12 months of testing, building, crashing and redesigning. π ππ¨π₯π₯ππ‘π§ π£π₯π’ππππ§ Right now, the new team of HORYZN is developing an autonomous life-saving passenger drone to compete in the GoAERO Prize, redefining the field of Advanced Air Medical Mobility.
