David Mantilla

David Mantilla has extensive experience in engineering leadership, currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Hourly since August 2020, where David leads a cross-functional team of over 60 engineers. Previously, David held various roles at Hourly, including Software Engineering Manager and API Team Lead, where achievements included overseeing backend and API development. At HBO, David contributed as a Software Engineering Manager to the launch of HBO Max. David's career also includes significant contributions at Southwest Airlines, focusing on scheduling optimization, and experience in building pollution testing systems during tenure at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. David holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito and an MS in Computer Software Engineering from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas.
